My 200th Hour
It seems like just yesterday I opened Peace in Piermont!
Tomorrow night’s Yoga + Mindfulness for Beginners class from 7:30-8:30pm will mark my 200th hour of teaching yoga! These past eleven months, since I graduated from YTT, have been the most challenging of my life. Less than a week after graduation, I unexpectedly lost my Dad. Grieving him has proven to be the hardest and most painful thing I’ve ever done. It has caused me to feel extreme darkness and, at times, feel alone in a way I’d never experienced.
The silver lining is that it’s helped me have empathy for others who have lost someone close to them. It’s made our family very close. It’s given fuel to my fire; this experience reinforced how important my path is, one of spreading messages that educate and promote self-care, kindness, and inner-peace.
With all my heart, I know that it’s yoga that kept me healthy and focused this past year. Finding my truest self on the mat, connecting with her, and not only fostering my relationship with myself but inspiring others to connect to their own inner light, has been the most fulfilling gift I have ever given myself and others.
To celebrate my 200th hour of teaching with you + to celebrate my Dad’s 60th birthday (April 25), I’ve made my class this Sunday free. It’s my gift to you + a gift from my dad. Hope you can make it. 💜 Click here to register.
