Class Descriptions
Yoga, Meditation & Art Enrichment for Ages 3-7
Throughout this series, students will learn fundamentals of Vinyasa yoga, various types of meditations, and pranayama. We will explore emotions and ways of moving feelings through out bodies via yoga, breath work, and creative expression (painting, drawing and journaling). Weather permitting, we will spend time outdoors, enjoying walking meditations and fostering presence in nature. At least 15 minutes of each class will be dedicated to creative play, where students will explore whatever activities interest them and teachers will observe students—reminding them to implement mindfulness tools as any big emotions or conflicts arise. The depth of each class, as well as learning objectives will be adjusted based on age and ability.

Our day program, Camp PiP, is an immersion of mindfulness practices. Students study the art of living in the present moment via yoga, meditation, creative arts, and lots of time in nature. We pride ourselves in our 4:1 student to teacher ratio. Learning is not one-size-fits-all. We spend a lot of time and energy creating lesson plans that meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.

“As a first-time mom, I was a bit nervous about bringing my little one to a music class, but this place exceeded all my expectations! The environment was clean, welcoming, and baby-friendly. Everyone was engaging, patient, and so good at making the kids feel comfortable. My baby absolutely loved the music, movement, and interactive play.
I also appreciated how the class encouraged early learning—helping with rhythm, coordination, and social interaction. It was a great way to bond with my child while also meeting other parents. A plus was also the fact you can pay extra to bring someone a great was to bring a grandparent to be involved !
If you’re looking for a fun, educational, and safe music experience for your little one, I highly recommend this place!” - Mariana, February 2025

“I was skeptical when I was told to check out peace in Piermont. Having a studio that offered all types of classes worried me that the result would be average or not focused enough. I was dead wrong. The classes are above average no matter the age. My son (who is shy and usually cries when I leave him new places) begs to go here. The work katie offers is thoughtful and gentle. PIPs approach to really letting kids shine and discover the value of mindfulness meditation and breath is impressive. The classes are small and I do notice a different version of my son when he’s done. It’s a little pricey but worth every penny. Adult classes are also well curated. Pushing and creating a very worthwhile experience. Stoked this studio is here.”
We LOVE hosting private events!
From birthday parties to Girl Scout gatherings, we love creating custom, memorable classes for your little loved ones!
“Katie is not only a beautiful human being but she is extremely welcoming and creates a wonderfully zen environment. My son Zach, went for the kids night and won’t stop asking when he is going back. He was having an uncontrollable emotional day and he truly benefited from the solo experience and tranquility that was offered. I highly recommend Peace in Piermont it truly is a breath of fresh air, thank you!”
“We are back for our second year taking the kids Yoga & Mindfulness class - with the added bonus of Art added in too this time! Katie is one of a kind — she has created the most calming and welcoming environment. My son is 9 and has special needs — Katie has been successful in helping him to feel successful!! She is so kind and inclusive — making sure that every child in the room knows they seen and heard. It is a magical place :)”
“I visited Peace in Piermont this past weekend with my 4-year-old daughter for a family yoga class, and it was such a wonderful experience! I loved that the class began with a simple journaling exercise—we all received paper and a bag of markers. It was such a creative and engaging way to start the session, and my daughter was excited to jump right in. As someone who loves journaling but hasn’t quite figured out how to introduce it to my daughter, this made me so happy!
The yoga portion of the class was relaxed, fun, and thoughtfully designed with kids in mind. They really understood children’s attention spans, and the poses were interactive and enjoyable for both parents and kids. My favorite part was learning the “lizard on a rock” pose, where the kids lay on the parent in child’s pose—such a sweet bonding moment!
The studio itself is small, charming, and very inviting. Katie, the instructor, was so warm and welcoming. I arrived quite early, and she made us feel right at home, which set such a positive tone for the experience.I highly recommend Peace in Piermont to families looking for a fun, mindful activity to enjoy together. We’ll definitely be back!”
